The challenge that I have set myself is:
To see how much food a small city garden can realistically produce. And how much work it really takes!
These is much on the TV and internet now about producing your own food but how realistic is all of this hype and even if a small garden will produce enough, how hard is it to do.
This year I have to get my garden into shape so it will not be a fully fledged attempt but I hope that it will be heartening and next year I can run a proper test. Also being a uni student I don't have the same type of schedule a working person would so it may be a bit misrepresentative of the amount of your 'free' time it will take up.
So in a nut shell:
See what my garden will produce and how much work it is to get it to do that.
